Dr. Peter Butt is an Associate Professor with the Department of Family Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. He is the Medical Director of the department’s division of Northern Medical Services, which provides clinical services to the northern regional health authorities and First Nations. His clinical and research work focuses on Substance Use Disorders. He is the College of Family Physicians of Canada 's (CFPC) representative on the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) National Alcohol Strategy; National Treatment Strategy; Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral (SBIR) Advisory Panel, and the Low Risk Drinking Guidelines Advisory Panel.
